1. Acceptance of Terms
Saturn 9 is provided as a free, educational, and creative tool for music production and sound design. By accessing or using this software, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Audio & Volume Warning
⚠️ IMPORTANT AUDIO SAFETY WARNING
Saturn 9 is capable of producing high-volume audio signals that could potentially damage speakers, headphones, or hearing if not used responsibly.
- Always start with low volume settings and gradually increase
- Use the Master Volume control to prevent unexpected loud sounds
- Be cautious when experimenting with resonance, distortion, and feedback parameters
- Protect your hearing—prolonged exposure to loud sounds can cause permanent hearing damage
- If using headphones, remove them before making drastic parameter changes
The developer assumes NO LIABILITY for any hearing damage, equipment damage, or other harm resulting from use of this software.
3. Software Disclaimer
Saturn 9 is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including but not limited to:
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Merchantability
- Non-infringement
- Absence of defects or errors
- Accuracy or completeness of results
3.1 No Guarantee of Functionality
While every effort has been made to ensure Saturn 9 operates correctly, the developer does not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Compatibility with all browsers, operating systems, or hardware
- That defects will be corrected
- That the software will meet your specific requirements
3.2 Browser Compatibility
Saturn 9 requires a modern web browser with Web Audio API and Web MIDI API support. Recommended browsers: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based). Firefox and Safari may have limited functionality.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of Saturn 9 shall NOT be liable for:
- Any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities
- Damage to hardware, software, or audio equipment
- Hearing damage or personal injury
- Any other damages arising from use or inability to use this software
You use Saturn 9 entirely at your own risk.
5. Privacy & Data Collection
5.1 No Personal Data Collection
Saturn 9 does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal information, including but not limited to:
- Names, email addresses, or contact information
- IP addresses or location data
- Usage analytics or tracking data
- MIDI or audio recordings
5.2 Local Storage
Saturn 9 uses browser localStorage to save:
- User-created presets
- Synthesizer settings and preferences
- MIDI device configurations
This data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to any server. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.
5.3 MIDI Access
If you grant MIDI permissions, Saturn 9 can access connected MIDI devices for musical input. No MIDI data is recorded, stored, or transmitted outside of real-time audio synthesis.

6.2 Preset Sounds
Factory presets included with Saturn 9 are inspired by vintage synthesizer sounds but are original creations. They do not sample or directly copy any commercial hardware or software.
6.3 User-Created Content
You retain full ownership of:
- Custom presets you create
- Audio recordings you make with Saturn 9
- Musical compositions and performances
You are free to use your creations for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial, without attribution (though it's appreciated!).
7. Permitted Use
You are granted a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Saturn 9 for:
- Personal music production and sound design
- Educational purposes
- Commercial music production (you own the output)
- Live performance and recording
8. Prohibited Use
You may NOT:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
- Remove copyright notices or attribution
- Redistribute or sell Saturn 9 as your own product
- Use Saturn 9 for any illegal or harmful purposes
- Create derivative works without explicit permission
9. Third-Party Resources
Saturn 9 may link to external resources or documentation. The developer is not responsible for:
- Content, accuracy, or availability of third-party websites
- Privacy practices of external sites
- Damages resulting from use of third-party resources

The developer reserves the right to:

Saturn 9 is a creative tool and should not be considered:
